Dragons end season in Yuma
Holyoke High School baseball came to an end Tuesday, June 8, after two losses in Yuma, 7-1 and 12-2.
Although the Dragons were winless this season, coach Sherman Kage said he has seen great improvement since they started playing.
“By the end of the season, we had a baseball team that had grit, a willingness to win and a no-quit attitude,” Kage said. “It was remarkable to watch.”
He added that he believes they accomplished their goal to build the foundation for Dragon baseball, a goal they’ve been working on all season.
“I’m incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication,” he said, noting that the boys got better not only on the field, but learned things that will help them get better in the classroom and in life in general.
