Dragons gain experience on diamond last week
Pointing out that none of the Dragon baseball players had played a high school varsity game yet in their careers, coach Sherman Kage was pleased with the way they’re progressing in their knowledge of the game.
Even though the Dragons are starting the season with two losses to Haxtun and two to Akron, Kage said he’s really pleased with the kids and their ability to make adjustments.
In preparing for future games, he said the Dragons will work to play as a solid unit both defensively and offensively by putting the ball in play and cutting down on errors.
He pointed out that he’s proud of the kids and the hard work and dedication they’ve put in, adding that it’s starting to show on the field and he’s excited to continuously see their growth and win games.
