Dragons get physical in Haxtun match

Haxtun may have come out on top in the Sept. 4 volleyball match, but Holyoke left it all on the court in the five sets that the county rivals played. When all was said and done, the Bulldogs had won 3-2 (21-25, 25-19, 25-11, 17-25, 15-4).
“We’re just trying to figure out a groove, a rotation that clicks,” said coach Hannah Petersen. The team has what it takes to win, but they’re still working on finding their identity without the strong leadership of Grace Dille, who graduated this year.
“They’re getting closer, but it’s still a work in progress,” Petersen added, noting that she expects the current upperclassmen to step up and spur on the team in coming games.
