Dragons host tourney
Holyoke High School boys golf team members had a great home tournament last Friday, Aug. 27.
Both the varsity and the JV teams finished second for the day, with seven teams participating.
“We hope to keep the momentum going in our next two tournaments in Wray and Sterling this week,” said coach David Mauler.
Varsity golfers turned in a score of 276, led by Ty Dirks who placed third overall with an 84. Mason Vernon tied for seventh with 90, Ethan Johnson 102 and Tristen Ferguson 120.
Sterling won the varsity tournament with 259, followed by Holyoke’s 276, Wray 277, Stratton 290, Burlington 305, Yuma 343 and Akron 353.
