Dragons split in basketball action over the weekend

Holyoke High School boys basketball hosted a pair of games over the weekend, scoring a decisive victory over Otis 74-17 Friday, Jan. 29, and losing a close one-pointer to Brush, 54-53, Saturday, Jan. 30.

Coach Marcus Kammer said the Dragons played two very different teams this weekend, and he said he is proud of the players’ effort dealing with adversity in the game against Brush.

He continued by pointing out the players handled the pressure well, especially having to play three games in one week, two of which were on consecutive days.

“If we continue to make progress week by week like we did this first week, we’ll be in a good place,” Kammer said.
