Eagles win in Holyoke

Holyoke’s baseball team finished its regular season on May 16 with one varsity and one JV game at home against Wray. The Eagles won the varsity game 17-3 and the JV game 26-8.

Reflecting on the regular season as a whole, coach Jimmy French pointed out that the players have made a lot of progress throughout the year.

“It has been a hard year in a lot of ways,” he acknowledged, “but we’re moving in the right direction.”

 

Holyoke 3, Wray 17

Wray took the early lead in Monday’s game, scoring one run in the top of the first. In the second inning, the Eagles added seven runs, taking the score to 8-0.

The Dragons had a strong third inning, securing three quick outs and keeping Wray from scoring. At bat, Bryson Dirks, Reid Sprague and Tyson Mosenteen scored runs for Holyoke, taking the score to 8-3.
