Ethan Johnson selected for Chicago showcase

Ethan Johnson, a sophomore basketball player at Holyoke High School, recently participated in the Steph Curry Underrated Tour, an invitation-only showcase coordinated by Curry’s trainers.

He was one of 80 boys and one of only three sophomores chosen for the Chicago, Illinois, event Feb. 22-23.

After five hours of competition on Saturday, Johnson was one of 30 picked to play in Sunday’s event.

Johnson said he learned a lot, and it was good exposure for him to experience the fast pace and routine of 4A athletes as well as athletes who play only one sport all year.
