Fleming wins 6-man state football

The season is over for Colorado’s six-man high school football. No. 4 Fleming edged out No. 2 Stratton/Liberty 28-27 for the state title Nov. 23.

In Colorado’s other divisions, Nov. 23 marked the semifinal games. In eight-man football, No. 1 Sedgwick County beat No. 5 Dayspring Christian Academy 48-0. No. 3 Fowler beat No. 7 Pikes Peak Christian 20-12. Fowler will host Sedgwick County for the championship game Nov. 30 at 1 p.m.

In 1A semifinals, No. 3 Limon beat No. 2 Holyoke 15-7. No. 1 Strasburg beat No. 5 Centauri 14-7. Strasburg will host Limon for the championship game Nov. 30 at 1 p.m.

In 2A semifinals, No. 2 Sterling beat No. 3 Resurrection Christian 21-14. No. 4 Delta beat No. 9 Basalt 17-6. Sterling will play Delta at CSU Pueblo on Nov. 30 at 1 p.m.
