Girls are 6-0 after win over No. 2 Wray
Holyoke High School Lady Dragon basketball team heads into Christmas break undefeated after a big 49-31 win at Wray Friday, Dec. 20.
Last week Wray was ranked No. 2, with Holyoke sitting at No. 8 in the state.
“It felt good to go into the break 6-0,” said coach John Baumgartner.
He said the girls went onto the court with laser focus and incredible defense. Holyoke kept Wray to only three points in the first quarter and two points in the second.
Meanwhile, the Dragon offense put up 10 points in the first and nine in the second to head into halftime with a 19-5 lead.
