Girls defeat Perkins County
The Holyoke Lady Dragon volleyball team commanded the court last Thursday, Sept. 22, with a big three-set win over Perkins County, Nebraska.
HHS won 25-23, 25-20 and 25-13.
“Everyone was doing their jobs,” said coach Irene Ortega, noting that team members had few communication errors. She also said the girls were serving well and did a good job of receiving serves.
The momentum from Thursday’s win carried over to a tournament in Akron on Saturday, Sept. 24.
In their first game of the day, the Lady Dragons defeated Byers in four sets: 25-12, 19-25, 25-11 and 25-10.
