Girls swim honored at awards night

    Members of the Holyoke High School 2017-18 swim team were honored for their achievements at a March 19 awards night in the HHS library.
    Coached by Adria Colver and Aly Brinkema, the team had much to celebrate after a successful season. This year’s letterwinners are seniors Anna Jelden, Regan Van Overbeke, Juli Hernandez of Sedgwick County, Bailey Hamaker and Julia Pagola; sophomores Brenna Gatton, Traeli Hutches, Lali Marquez and Jackie Valenzuela; and freshmen Rylee Schneller, Haley Van Overbeke, Amy Mackay and Demiah Hernandez of Sedgwick County.
    In the penultimate achievement of their season, HHS girls swim team took 12 swimmers to conference, and all 12 swam in the championship finals.
