Girls win Holyoke meet

In the middle of a rough stretch of windy days, a beautiful day emerged just in time for the Holyoke Invitational on Saturday, April 9.

Out of 12 track and field teams, the Holyoke girls claimed first place, and the Holyoke boys finished second.

β€œIt was fun to compete on a day when we could put in good times, distances and heights,” said coach Corey Koberstein.

Lady Dragons who topped the competition were Correy Koellner in the 200 meter dash, Linda Esser in the long jump and Lauren Herman in both the discus and shot put.

Boys who placed first were Ivan Cummings in the mile, Wyatt Sprague in the 300 meter hurdles, Bryson Dirks in the triple jump, and the 4x100 meter throwers relay of Tyler Bergstrom, Jadon Frost, Hunter Vermeulen and Edel Ramos.
