Golf team takes 1st and 2nd

HHS girls golf traveled to Cheyenne Wells Friday, April 7, winning the tournament at Smoky River Golf Course. Monday, April 10, they competed at Prairie Pines Golf Club in Burlington, where they placed second.
Coach Nick Flaa noted the team fell just four shots short of winning the Burlington tournament, and improving consistency will be the thing that helps them perform better in the future.

Cheyenne Wells tournament
In Cheyenne Wells Friday, Holyoke’s Grace Dille won her second tournament of the season, shooting 93 and breaking her 18-hole personal record again. Brenna Sullivan shot a personal best as well, and she placed fourth with a 103.
Flaa observed that golfing at Smoky River proved challenging for most of the girls, as the fairways are buffalo grass, but the Dragons still boasted strong scores.
Other varsity golfers and their scores were Regan Van Overbeke 113 and Dominique Penzing 117.
