Golfers already 2 weeks into season

    By the time students in Holyoke School District head back to school Thursday, Aug. 16, the HHS boys golf team will already be in its fourth tourney of the season.
    They opened with a JV tourney in Brush Thursday, Aug. 9, and a varsity meet in Yuma Friday, Aug. 10.
    Additionally, reports will appear in next week’s Enterprise from the Tuesday, Aug. 14, JV and V tournament in Burlington, as well as the Thursday, Aug. 16, varsity tourney in Eaton.
    A small five-person, young squad features junior returning letterwinner Deacon Dittmer, as well as sophomores Cameron Skager and Jesse Vasa, and freshmen Tristen Ferguson and Mason Vernon.
    Audrey Ault stepped up to serve as the team’s head coach, after being the assistant boys coach and a volunteer coach on the girls team for last year’s HHS programs.
