Haxtun football game cut short

Holyoke Dragon football was all set to start the season against the Haxtun Bulldogs, but the Aug. 30 game lasted less than a quarter before lightning caused it to be canceled. At that point, the Dragons had a commanding 34-0 lead.

During the quarter of play, Holyoke’s Blake Mosenteen scored the team’s first two touchdowns, which were accompanied by successful PAT kicks by Alexis Vega.
