HHS 4-2 over SC/F in head-to-head

    In head-to-head matches at the wrestling dual with Sedgwick County/Fleming in Ovid Thursday, Jan. 24, the Dragons won four and lost two matches.
    However, Holyoke was forced to forfeit five matches where the team had no wrestler, and won only one by forfeit. As a result, Sedgwick County/Fleming took the dual win, 42-30.
    Coach Dusty McConnell was pleased with the Dragon effort. “Head-to-head, we did really well,” he pointed out. He also noted that the wins that were earned in the dual will result in higher seeds in the upcoming regionals over the Sedgwick County/Fleming wrestlers who they defeated last week in Ovid.
    Those earning wins in last week’s dual were Jacky Mosqueda at 113 lbs., Jesus Trejo 145, Luis Chafino 160 and Michael Ramos 170.
