HHS baseball beats county rival again

    Baseball fans were back out at the Holyoke ballfield to catch a second rescheduled game against the Haxtun Bulldogs Wednesday, April 5. Holyoke High School won the first game Monday, April 3, 7-2.
    Driven by Monday’s victory, the Dragons returned Wednesday for another win, 11-5.
    Taking an early lead, Holyoke scored 5 and 4 runs in the first and second innings, while holding Haxtun at 0. Going into the third inning with a score of 9-0, the Bulldogs managed to score 2 and hold the Dragons at 9, bringing the score to 9-2 after three innings.
    Haxtun kept fighting in the fourth inning, scoring another 3 runs and allowing the Dragons only 1. Going into the fifth inning, the score stood at 10-5, but the Bulldogs had scored their last run.
