HHS snags a 46-20 win

Now with a win on its record, the Holyoke football team is raring for Friday’s game in Hershey, Nebraska. The Dragons and the Panthers will face off at 7 p.m. CDT on Sept. 16.

Like the Dragons, the Panthers are 1-2 and are hoping to get back to .500 this week.

Last Friday, Holyoke hosted Colby, Kansas. Compared to the week before, the Dragons’ defensive line, in particular, was much improved, and the home team finished with a 46-20 win.

The Colby Eagles scored the first touchdown of the game but were unsuccessful in their attempt at a 2-point conversion. The Dragon possession, on the other hand, ended with a rushing touchdown by Wyatt Sprague and a successful PAT kick by Tyler Bergstrom for a 7-6 lead.

Holyoke receiver Cash Weber scored the next touchdown, which was followed by another successful PAT kick. Before the first quarter was over, the Dragons added 7 more points to the board.
