Holyoke basketball sweeps first Phillips County Showdown
County rivals Holyoke and Haxtun have a new achievement to strive for: Phillips County Showdown basketball champions. Following the first showdown, both Holyoke girls and boys teams are the reigning champs.
Getting 2018 basketball going Jan. 5, Holyoke and Haxtun joined forces to deliver a new Ag Night. FFA chapters from both schools, as well as representatives from local ag businesses and 4-H clubs, paid tribute to Phillips County agriculture at Holyoke High School. A special meal was included, highlighting locally grown products, and the line seemed never-ending.
