Holyoke boys basketball is 25 strong

The Holyoke High School boys basketball season begins with the Corridor Classic Tournament in Byers on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1-2. Varsity boys play Strasburg Friday at 5:30 p.m. to determine their position in day two of the tournament.
Returning to the court after a 2017 Colorado 2A state championship, the team is again coached by Scott Dille. He is assisted by Keith Pocock, Ernie Kinnie and Gabe Marner. Last year’s varsity team boasted a 22-4 record and seniors who won All-Conference and All-State recognition and broke several school records.
Though the bulk of last year’s team has since graduated, five returning letterwinners lead the 25-man 2017-18 team. They are seniors Andy Dominguez and Anthony Beltran; and sophomores Blake Mosenteen, Slaten Burris and Mason King.
