The Holyoke Dragons were ready to go at the Jefferson County Stadium in Lakewood, Colorado, last Thursday afternoon. The team started strong with Max Kleve putting his best foot forward in the first event Holyoke competed in. When he stepped off his block, he sprinted to the 100m finish line in 11.43 seconds. He ran as a finalist later on Saturday. After this, Reid Sprague competed in the boys triple jump, placing fifth overall with a new personal record jump of 42’.

The next event that Holyoke competed in was the boys 4x200m relay. Sophomores Trey Oakley, Reid Sprague, Juniors Cash Weber, and Bryson Dirks ran to place among the finalists. Max was seen again on the track, ready to sprint in the 200m and 400m free finalists. Freshman Anessa Colglazier ran in the 400m and 200m dash that day. These events completed the first day of the 2023 State Track competition.
