Holyoke lifeguards prepare for summer pool hours
With school out and temperatures rising, summer is the ideal time to take advantage of the Holyoke swimming pool and its extended hours.
Open swim is Tuesday through Sunday, 1-5 p.m., as well as Tuesday and Thursday 7-8:30 p.m.
Lap swim is Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6-7 a.m.; Monday-Thursday 5-7 p.m.; and Sunday 5-6 p.m.
Water exercise is held Monday-Friday 8:30-9:30 a.m.
The Holyoke summer swim team practices Monday-Friday 7-8:30 a.m.
Two sessions of swimming lessons are scheduled this summer, with classes Tuesday-Friday. The first session is already underway and will continue through June 23. Session two is July 4-21, and registration is still open.
