Holyoke track and field team is 34 members strong

    Holyoke High School’s track and field team is gearing up for a busy spring season with a lineup of 13 boys and 21 girls. The first meet is this Saturday, March 24, in Yuma at 10 a.m.
    Dragon fans will have three chances to cheer on the team at home meets: Holyoke Invitational, Thursday, March 29, 9 a.m.; Dragon Invitational, Saturday, April 7, 9 a.m.; and HWAY Invitational, Saturday, May 5, 9 a.m.
    The finale of the season is the state meet May 17-19 at JeffCo Stadium in Lakewood.
    The team is led by Corey Koberstein, who is in his first year as head coach and his third year with the track program. The HHS alum was a Dragon trackster who helped his team win three state championships and one second place. He went on to be a sprinter on the Doane University track team in Crete, Nebraska.
    Assistant coaches are Jacinda Krueger and Melissa Hunter.
