JH boys place 1st in Wray meet
Holyoke junior high boys track continued to excel Thursday, April 20, placing first out of 10 teams with 128 points at the Buchanan Middle School Invitational in Wray. This is the third meet in a row that the boys have won, placing first in Akron April 13 and at home in their season opener April 7.
The girls placed fifth out of 10 with 74 points.

100 meter dash — Taylor Trumper, third, :14.21.
200 meter dash — Trumper, fourth, :30.92.
100 meter hurdles — Kylie Purkeypile, seventh, :19.74.

800 meter sprint medley — Chaparro, Rachel Krueger, Emali Torres and Ashlynn Guzman, eighth, 2:23.68.
4x400 meter relay — Rahe, Purkeypile, Juarez and Trumper, sixth, 5:03.02.
Triple jump — Rahe, fifth, 28’1.5”.
Discus — Lauren Herman, first, 82’3.5”; Torres, third, 70’0.5”; Krueger, fourth, 69’8.5”.
Shot put — Torres, first, 29’6”; Herman, third, 25’6”.
