JH track is off and running; first meet is Tuesday

    Holyoke junior high tracksters will kick off their season  Tuesday, April 3, at the Sterling Invitational, beginning at 1 p.m.
    Twenty-nine boys and 20 girls will be representing the Dragons this year.
    The team is led by head coach Amber Schroetlin and assistant coaches Merle Powell, Luke Goldenstein and Amanda Skinner.
    Eighth-grade boys on the team are Aidyn Shafer, Baylor Struckmeyer, Cade Killin, Carlos Legarreta, Emmanuel Vasquez, Ethan Johnson, Gage Sprague, Jaime Avila, Juan Diaz, Kailar Hayes, Kaison Kinnie, Kenneth Lindholm, Levi Dille, Levi Ford, Marco Mendoza, Mason Vernon, Miles Sprague, Nick Garcia, Tristen Ferguson, Johny Quintana and manager Diego Jimenez.
    Seventh-grade boys include Cooper Goldenstein, Jaxon Hutches, Brenden Nelson, Ty Sandquist Dirks, Stephen Murray, Isaiah Rahe, Max Kleve and Dylan Hielscher.
    The girls team is made up of eighth-graders Kristin Vieselmeyer, Wendy Chaparro Rangel, Anna Chaney, Emma Oakley, Lauren Herman, Ruby Granados, Miranda Schroetlin and Havyn Powell; and seventh-graders Grace Roberts, Clover Adler, Sabryn Burris, Emma Thompson, Elise Krogmeier, Erin Andersen, Madysen Powell, Jimena Nuñez, Summer Martin, Tamara Penzing, Alexie Metzger and Aspyn Kinnie.
