JV boys win twice

HHS JV boys basketball took two victories in two three-quarter games last week, defeating Fleming 49-8 on the road Friday, Feb. 10, and Wiggins 46-34 at home Saturday, Feb. 11.

In Friday’s win over Fleming, the Dragons kept the Wildcats to only two points in the first two periods while scoring 34 before continuing on for the 49-8 win.

Arturo Dominguez and Mason King led in scoring with eight each, followed by Norman Mendoza seven, Wyatt McCallum six, Jarrett Woodhead five, Blake Mosenteen, Matt Yost and Brendan Mayden four each, Slaten Burris two and Anthony Beltran one.

Against Wiggins Saturday, Holyoke was ahead 28-20 after two periods before the 46-34 win. Dominguez had the most points with 13, followed by Mosenteen 11, King seven, Mayden and McCallum four each, Mendoza, Jannik Redmann and Beltran two each and Burris one.
