JV girls basketball wins tournament

    Holyoke’s junior varsity girls won the Corridor Classic tournament in Byers Friday and Saturday, Dec. 1-2, defeating Strasburg 40-24 and Vanguard 30-23.
    
Holyoke JV 40, Strasburg 24
    HHS JV girls beat Strasburg 40-24 in Friday’s game. The Dragons led 18-6 at the half, putting up another 12 points in the third quarter. While Strasburg outscored Holyoke 12-10 in the final period, Holyoke won the game 40-24.
    Ashley Rahe led with 12 points followed by Taylor Trumper eight, Emali Torres seven, Shianne Willmon six, Chloie Metzger three and Yeidi Juarez and Kylie Purkeypile two each.
