Koberstein advances to state Nuggets contest

    Youth who qualified on the local level last month had a chance to compete at the sectional portion of the Nuggets Skills Challenge in Fort Collins on Sunday, Feb. 10. Holyoke’s Genni Koberstein won the 6-7-year-old girls division at sectionals, giving her the opportunity to compete at the state level.
    The state Nuggets Skills Challenge is Saturday, March 16, at West High School in Denver. Holyoke recreation director Victoria Dunker will help run the event. Participants also receive four tickets to that night’s Denver Nuggets game against the Indiana Pacers.
    Also competing at the Feb. 10 contest was Holyoke’s Isaiah Murray, who placed second in the 6-7 boys division.
