Koellner breaks own school record in shot put

Holyoke High School’s track and field team had another good meet last Friday, May 14, in Akron.

Some of the girls who participated in volleyball returned from the state tournament the previous day and made a quick transition to be able to compete on Friday, adding more athletes to the Lady Dragon track and field lineup.

“We have a lot to look forward to,” said coach Corey Koberstein, who is excited to finally be practicing with a full roster.

In her first meet of the season, Correy Koellner finished the day with three firsts in the long jump, shot put and discus. Her shot put throw of 39 feet, 0.75 inches was enough to break her own school record.
