Lady Dragon volleyball wins big on homecoming
The Lady Dragon volleyball team gave the home crowd a fun homecoming game to watch Friday, Oct. 8, when they beat Wray in three sets: 25-10, 25-13 and 25-19.
Coach Michelle Vieselmeyer said the girls played well and stayed focused in all three sets, which is something they’ve been working on in practice.
“They played steady and consistent throughout,” she said.
She commended the team for its attacking effort, which resulted in 34 kills, and its aggressive serves, which totaled 14 aces.
The win boosts Holyoke’s record to 13-5 overall and 2-2 in the league. Vieselmeyer said the team’s record is comparable to where they were at this time last season, which ended in an appearance at the state tournament.
