Lady Dragons clinch Akron quarterfinals

Holyoke High School girls varsity basketball team beat Akron 60-22 at home last Tuesday, Feb. 19, to open district tournament action.
Coach John Baumgartner said his team didn’t rest on its laurels, despite a 59-32 win over Akron earlier this month.
“They came out laser-focused, even though we beat them pretty good the other week,” he said.
He added that the game was a good showing all-around for the team.
“I thought we moved well defensively and got a lot of shots up,” he said.
