Lady Dragons smother SedgCo for 52-11 win

Holyoke High School’s girls varsity basketball team blew away SedgCo last Tuesday, Dec. 4, ending the game with a score of 52-11 and earning their third consecutive victory of the season.
Coach John Baumgartner said it was an easy win, and that the Dragons had the advantage of experience over SedgCo, which began their season Tuesday.
“I thought defensively we smothered them pretty well in the second half,” he said. “We still have some things to work on, but I felt like overall we got a lot of people in the game.”
Baumgartner added that the team’s confidence on the road will be an asset in the upcoming games against the more highly-ranked programs of Haxtun and Pine Bluffs, Wyoming.
“It’ll be challenging, which is good. We need it.”
