Led by Thompson, golfers place 3rd

Dragon golfers finished their stretch of three tournaments in five days with a third-place showing in Burlington on Tuesday, May 25, which turned out to be a great day to play golf.

“Between the weather and the course conditions,” coach Nick Flaa said, “it was about as perfect as you could draw it up.”

Yuma won the tournament with a team score of 350, followed by Wray 356, Holyoke 359 and Akron 372. Kit Carson and Burlington attended but did not have enough players for a team score.

Flaa said the team was led by Emma Thompson, who has progressively gotten better during the last three tournaments.
