Limon wins 1A football with undefeated season

    Strasburg High School hosted Limon for the Colorado 1A state football championship Nov. 24. Though the home team took an early lead, Limon ultimately triumphed 13-7. The state game rounded out a 13-0 season for the Badgers.
    Strasburg won its third state football title last year. This year’s win marked the 17th championship for the Limon Badgers. Limon has qualified for playoffs 57 years now and has played in the final game 26 times.
    In other northeastern Colorado action last Saturday, Sedgwick County beat Hoehne 58-14 for the eight-man football state championship title.
