Local Rockies challenge qualifies 4 for sectionals

    Athletes ranging from age 6-13 had the chance to put their baseball skills to the test Saturday, June 15. City of Holyoke recreation department hosted a local level of the Rockies Baseball Skills Challenge through the Colorado Parks & Recreation Association.
    Participants were challenged to show their best baserunning, batting and throwing. Those who won their division earned the opportunity to continue on to the sectional level of competition in July.
    Advancing to sectionals from Holyoke are Ian Hernandez in 6-7 boys, Juan Nuñez 8-9 boys, Luke Roberts 10-11 boys and Fatima Nuñez 12-13 girls.
