Major dwarf crash in front of stands at raceway
Jesse Taylor is recovering and will be back behind the wheel, but he sure gave the Phillips County Raceway fans a show right in front of the grandstands at the July 2 races.
Racing in the dwarf division, Taylor’s lime green dwarf car rolled and rolled and rolled to halt the race and certainly to cause concern. It clearly earned crash of the year status, and PCR coordinator Joe Bellm is glad to note that Taylor is recuperating.
The action was recorded and can be watched on the Phillips County Raceway/BST Racing Facebook page.
Weather was good, as were car counts and fan support at the Fourth of July weekend races, noted Bellm. A fan appreciation time with the drivers was enjoyed during the evening.
Friday’s racing concluded this year’s Colorado Alliance Tour, and it was day one of the tripleheader for the Tri-State championship.
Next up for PCR will be the Phillips County Fair races scheduled Friday, July 23, starting at 7 p.m.
