NHS dodgeball raises $1K for Shawn Maloney

    Holyoke High School National Honor Society’s Nov. 9 dodgeball tournament proved thrilling and sometimes painful for spectators packed into HHS’ new gym, while raising $1,000 for the family of Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department firefighter Shawn Maloney.
    In the final round of competition, Not in the Face — including captain Dylan Miles, Zacc Winn, Gunnar Kroeger, Isaiah Gifford, Colby Purkeypile, Brendan Mayden and Bo Sokup — defeated The Baseballers + Michael to win the tournament.
    Awarded Best Spirit was 1-800-RENT-A-HOMIE, including captain Isaiah Houghtelling, Alejandro Rojas, Cameron Skager, Joey Beckner, Aaron Sierra, Alec Sprague and Erick Marroquin.
