Nosewicz, Thompson win golf tourney

    Nick Nosewicz and Jeremy Thompson carded a 131 to win the May 26-27 Art Vollmer Memorial Day Best Ball Golf Tournament in Holyoke.
    They finished seven strokes under the second-place team of Brian Carruthers and Andy Weingardt, who shot a 138.
    Third place in the championship flight went to Rusty Triplette and Rod Trumper with a 141.
    Fifty-six golfers making up 28 teams competed in the weekend tournament this year.
