Pink Out raises funds for cancer screenings
Christy Shafer pins a paper basketball honoring her aunt, Lucia Dominguez, to a wall recognizing individuals affected by cancer at Holyoke High School’s Jan. 18 Pink Out game. Among the bake sale, silent auction, “Pass the Bucket” halftime event and sales of paper basketballs, T-shirts and other items, $1,436.84 was raised for the Melissa Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Pink Out Fund, which helps provide low-cost mammograms to community members in need.
