Pop shot always popular
With a dollar in hand and their eye on the prize, dozens of kids slide onto the court of the Holyoke gymnasium during halftime of the boys varsity basketball game for the highly anticipated pop shot, coordinated by Dragon Booster Club and sponsored by local businesses. The game is simple — pay a dollar, make a basket, win a pop. The distance from the basket and the size of the pop get bigger as kids get older. At the Dec. 14 Holyoke vs. Haxtun basketball game, Reid Clayton pops up a shot as other kids wait their turn in line. — The Holyoke Enterprise
