Racers halfway through season

With the July 14 event behind them, racers at Phillips County Raceway have made it through the midseason championships and are ramping up for the second half of the season.

As for last Friday’s races, Raceway promoter Joe Bellm noted that it was a nice, good night on the track. Things ran pretty flawlessly, without any cars being too torn up. Racers were, however, three and four wide all night long, and the stock cars put on an exceptionally good show.

Results of the feature event in each division follow in order of placing:

Modifieds — Brandon Clough, A.J. Valim, John Burrow, Greg Sharp and Dave Lindsey.

Sport mods — Matt Firme, Ryan Mosher, Jacob Fehler, Tom Quint, Ronnie Holtz, Brian Cross, Joe Bellm and Tim Jarnot.

Stock cars — Lloyd Meeske, Joe Bellm, Travis Demit, Kyle Clough, Michael Brunswig, Billy Aeby and Keith Stegman.

Hobby stocks — Tanner Clough, Kolby Stegman and Max Quint.

Compacts — Chad Mann, Shalanda Smith, Charley Harvey and Jeff Klinkefus.
