Shaw makes final showing at state swim

    Holyoke senior Keegan Shaw made his third and final showing at the boys 4A State Swimming & Diving Championships on Friday, May 17, at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton.
    Based on strict time qualifications, Shaw has attended the highly competitive meet his freshman year in relays and his junior and senior years in individual events, all while competing with the Valley High School team.
    Shaw competed in the preliminaries of the 100-yard backstroke Friday, finishing in a time of 1:02.91, his second-fastest time of the season. Although he did not make it back for finals, Shaw was extremely happy to end his high school career with a state showing.
