Shaw places in all his swimming events

    Amidst strong competition, HHS senior Keegan Shaw placed in two individual events and two relays with the Valley High School swim team at the Wiedeman Invite at the Greeley Rec Center last Saturday, March 30.
    Shaw and HHS freshman Tristen Ferguson both dropped time in their individual events for several season-best swims, noted Holyoke coach Aly Brinkema.
    “Our goal is to maintain those times as they continue to train without rest until the championship season in May,” added Brinkema.
    Shaw finished 12th in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking 1:05.96, and he swam the 100-yard butterfly in 1:03.67 to place 15th.
    Shaw was also a member of the 11th-place 200-yard freestyle relay, as well as the 15th-place 200-yard medley relay.
