Small but mighty
With only 13 girls on the Holyoke High School basketball roster this year, the Lady Dragons know they have to step up their game.
Coach John Baumgartner said the seniors are coming into the season with confidence, focus and purpose for their last hurrah as a Lady Dragon.
He’s excited to get some experienced players back on the court, with a challenge to get in better shape and be defensively solid.
Returning letterwinners are seniors Emily Jelden, Victoria Race, Sarah Razo and Shianne Willmon; and sophomores Lauren Herman, Correy Koellner and Kristin Vieselmeyer.
They are joined by senior Janessa Lutze; junior Emali Torres; and freshmen Alma Alejandre, Elise Krogmeier, Grace Roberts and Emma Thompson.
