Softball recognized at awards banquet

Members of the Holyoke High School softball team celebrated the 2019 season with an awards banquet Nov. 24 at the Phillips County Event Center. The team finished a commendable .500 season in the Colorado 3A regional tournament.

In addition to qualifying for regionals, season highlights included All-Conference and All-State honors for individual players. On the All-State list, senior Shianne Willmon and sophomore Lauren Herman earned honorable mention. Joining the two on the All-Conference list was senior Sarah Razo. Willmon was also selected to play in the Colorado High School Coaches Association All-State game at CSU Pueblo in June.
