Dusty Sprague receives the Silver Anniversary Team award from Clair Gausman, a board member of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame-Colorado Chapter at the HHS football award program Tuesday, Nov. 14.

Sprague awarded Silver Anniversary Team honors

    Dusty Sprague was honored with the National Football Foundation Silver Anniversary Team award at the HHS football awards ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Phillips County Event Center.
    Clair Gausman, a board member for the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame-Colorado Chapter attended the event and presented Sprague with the award.
    The National Football Foundation promotes amateur football in youth, high school and college levels. Each year the top 11 scholar athletes in the state are recognized.
    Candidates must be an All-State caliber player, have a 3.5 or higher grade point average and be recommended by a school administrator concerning their character and citizenship.
    Sprague received this honor during his senior high school year in the fall of 2002. He played football at HHS from 1999-2002 and at the University of Colorado 2003-2007. He is currently head coach for the HHS team.
