State football semifinals set

Matchups are set for the 1A state football semifinals Saturday, Nov. 20.

No. 1 Limon will take on No. 5 Wray and No. 2 Centauri will play No. 3 Buena Vista. Winners will advance to the championship game.

Limon defeated No. 8 North Fork 46-19 and Wray upset No. 4 Florence 36-7 in quarterfinal action last Saturday, Nov. 13. Centauri defeated No. 10 Yuma 40-7 and Buena Vista beat No. 6 Meeker 22-15 to earn their places in the semifinal games.

In 8-man action, No. 1 Haxtun defeated No. 8 Akron 42-24 last week and will play No. 5 Holly in the semifinals this Saturday. Holly upset No. 4 Dove Creek 66-22 last week to get to the semifinals.
