Stewart, Shaw are returning letterwinners

    Drew Stewart and Keegan Shaw are returning letterwinners for the 2017 boys swim season, swimming with the Valley High School swim team out of Gilcrest for the second year in a row.
    While doing all their practicing at the Holyoke pool, the swimmers compete with Valley through a co-op agreement. Locally, Aly Brinkema is volunteering as head coach for the boys, while Adria Colver is assisting.
    “It works out well because the Valley team is small, too,” said Brinkema. Valley’s team is only six total swimmers. “They appreciate the points we bring.”
    The season began with a meet Saturday, March 11, at Valley and a dual with Greeley Central Thursday, March 16.
