Swimmers celebrate good year, first as 3A competitors

    The Holyoke High School girls swim team celebrated a wonderful 2016-17 season at an awards reception Tuesday, April 4, at HHS. The team is coached by Adria Colver and Aly Brinkema.
    Earning letters this year were seniors Emily Krogmeier, Whitney Powell and Jordyn Turney; juniors Anna Jelden, Regan Van Overbeke and Juli Hernandez; and freshmen Brenna Gatton, Traeli Hutches, Lali Marquez and Jackie Valenzuela. Freshman Morganne Kumm received a participation award.
    Collectively, the team earned the CHSAA Academic Team Award with a cumulative GPA of 3.6.
