Take me out to the ball game

In typical summer fashion, the youth of Holyoke have been busy on the baseball field. This year, five teams are being offered by the City of Holyoke recreation department: T-Ball, machine-pitch baseball, Little League, Peewee and Babe Ruth. Throughout the month of June, the teams have games at home and in nearby towns.
June 15 was a full day of home games, with every one of Holyoke’s teams playing. Many parents and fans spent the day at the field watching games and eating sunflower seeds, while little ones took off to the playground, eating popsicles to keep cool.
